FAQ's

Got a question? We have listed some of the most commonly asked questions below, please check here as your question may well be answered.

Arriving on Bute by car?

For Trinity Church: on exiting the Pier turn left at the Lights, go through the Zebra crossing, with (Taxi Rank) on your left. At Mini Roundabout, Turn Right and travel up to top of Bishop Street. The Church is just beyond the bend as it becomes Castle Street.

For the Joint Campus: on exiting the Pier go straight ahead at the Traffic Lights. Carry on up the High Street (castle will be on your right). Go through give way and continue ahead past police station on your right for a further 1 mile. The Joint Campus is signposted on the right just beyond Bute Island Foods.

For Isle of Bute Parish Church: on exiting the Pier go straight ahead at the Traffic Lights. Carry on up the High Street (castle will be on your right). Go through give way and continue ahead past police station (again on your right) for a further 1/2 mile. You will pass on the right, the Highland Show Ground, the Leisure Centre, then some more open ground and the Church is then on your right – there is street parking or on the grass just prior to the buildings.

Arriving on Bute by foot?

For Trinity Church: Exit the Pier across the foot bridge and through the Glass topped shelter. Cross at the Zebra crossing keeping straight ahead in the same direction, past the Taverna Bar on the left (Guilford Square) on the right and keep going ahead in the same direction up the Watergate. At the top of this narrow street the Church is opposite on your left.

For the Joint Campus: the directions are the same as for car but will take at least a 20 minutes walk – perhaps best take a Taxi as buses are infrequent.

For Isle of Bute Parish Church: the directions are the same as for car but will take at least a 15 minutes walk – perhaps best take a Taxi as buses are infrequent.
