Welcome to our second, Bute Arts Society, Summer event of 2025 - an Operetta, made possible thanks to the support of the Rothesay Common Good Fund, administered by Argyll & Bute Council. Illyria Theatre perform indoors on Bute due to the unpredictable weather, even in Summer!

Join us for an enchanting rendition that promises an evening of laughter, music, and pure entertainment. Josephine, the captain’s daughter, loves Ralph, a common sailor. But her father insists she marries Sir Joseph Porter, First Lord of the Admiralty. Must class always get in the way of love? With sharp dialogue and catchy tunes, this timeless comic opera is performed indoors on a spectacular nautical set.

With catchy melodies and witty lyrics, Illyria brings the vivacious characters to life, captivating audiences with their impeccable comedic timing and exuberant performances.

RUNNING TIME (approx): 2hrs (inc 20 minute interval)

Suitable for all ages.

TICKETS: when purchasing an Adult Ticket you may purchase up to a maximum of 2 Childrens' Tickets Free of Charge.
